– Rojin Sharafi
is a sound artist and composer of acoustic, electro-acoustic, and electronic music. Her music crosses borders of different genres and keenly grabs from many musical buckets such as noise, folk, ambient, metal, and contemporary music. Her recent album Urns Waiting To Be Fed debuted in September via Zabte Sote / Opal Tapes labels and reviewed by The Quietus as “the unexpected” and “one of the most ecstatic and fiercely original hours of music”. She has performed in festivals such as SET x CTM 2018 in Tehran, Unsafe+Sounds 2018, and Hyperreality 2019 both in Vienna. In addition, her work has been presented internationally in cities like Basel, Berlin, Gent, New York City, and Washington DC. In 2019, she was invited as an artist in residence at Gouvernement in Belgium and in 2020 she will begin a new residency through Space21 and Borderline Festival in Athens and Kurdistan.

She was awarded the 2018 Austrian female Composers prize at Wien Modern Festival. Rojin Sharafi is academically pursuing her masters in sound engineering and composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna where she is delving into a deeper research in digital music performance.

– Jakob Schauer & MONOCOLOR
are an audiovisual duo from Vienna, Austria, who perform together in the field of drone and experimental music and generative video art since 2017. By mixing complex sound algorithms with pre-recorded material, Jakob Schauer creates multiple layers of sound structures in tonal and atonal moods and grows acoustic landscapes of variable physics, sizes and geometries. MONOCOLOR (Marian Essl) creates generatively and algorithmically moving pictures, which oscillate between floating, organic textures and rigid geometric structures. Together their work becomes a highly immersive symbiosis of sound and light, stuctures and waves in an audiovisual universe, that aim to fully envelop audiences in music and moving image.

– DANIEL LERCHER
born and raised in the Austrian countryside, he has been working and living in Vienna ever since. After graduating from the university for music and performing arts in Vienna, he became one of the most inventive producers of sound art and experimental compositions of the local and the international experimental music scene.
While collaborating with amazing artist, such as Katarina Klement, Manu Mayer, Vinzenz Schwab and Agnes Hvizdalek, his interdisciplinary work embodies astonishing, playful sounds as well as dance and performance.
His cunningly designed arrangements lead through fantastic journeys of ups and downs, smiles and frowns.

A fitting quote of Susanna Niedermayr at musicaustria.at:
"Der musikalische Schaffensprozess ist für Lercher so wie die Messe ein Ritus, der im besten Fall sowohl ihn als auch das Publikum an einen Ort bringt, an dem der Gedankenfluss für einen Augenblick versiegt, während sich die im Raum befindlichen Schwingungen zur kollektiven Musik vereinen – durch ihn, mit ihm und in ihm."
