Vienna English Comedy Night
Aera1010 Wien - Innere Stadt, Gonzagagasse 11
Di., 03.03.202020:00 - 22:00
Host for the night Joe Eagan, a Canadian living in Sweden, will introduce two brilliant comedians, Tom Deacon, a stand up comedian, TV and Radio presenter & top headline act Andrew Bird, who has been tour support for Rhod Gilbert, Rob Brydon and Michael McIntyre!
As an under-aged drinker in the local pub he tried to make the older men laugh. After dropping out of art collage and working in a factory for a few years that seemed really the only option. So he moved to London and got a job in a pub while starting out in stand up. After years of slogging around the comedy circuit he established himself and did many Edinburgh shows, and wrote on various TV shows.
“Comedy gold...Bird's going to be a big star, catch him close-up now” The Scotsman
Andrew is a top headline act up and down the country and has performed all round the world.
He has been tour support for Rhod Gilbert, Rob Brydon and on his recent arena tour Michael McIntyre including Wembley and the O2. He’s one of only seven comedians to perform for Banksy at Dismal Land. He’s written on TV shows Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Lee Mack’s Duck Quacks Don’t Echo and is a regular guest on BBC Radio’s The Rhod Gilbert Show.
“Birdie supported me on my arena tour and made me laugh every night. A truly excellent comedian” - Michael McIntyre
“A great storyteller, funny, likeable and effortless” - Time Out
Tom has been performing standup comedy for the last 12 years all around the world. 4 solo shows at Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as performing at all the most prestigious comedy clubs in the UK.
Whilst gigging extensively Tom has also had a very successful time presenting on Radio and TV. He’s had his own show on Radio 1 and Capital FM.
"A mighty fine comic" - The Guardian
"With looks, confidence, charm and great material; expect other comics to lynch him" - The Sunday Times
Canadian Joe Eagan lives in Sweden, and performs all over Europe. His lovable stage presence, ruggedly handsome looks, and maple syrup voice go down well with females. However, the guys also warm to his gentle giant, relaxed vibe. All this, plus his unique take on life, with an original turn of phrase, make Joe in demand for corporate events and comedy clubs alike. A safe pair of hands for any crowd.
