The Spyrals / Dave & The Pussies

20.00: The Spyrals (USA)

Jeff Lewis sounds oddly similar to the likes of Mick Jagger, with far less drugs in his system of course. The band doesn’t completely abandon their west coast roots as they fuse together some beachy guitar rhythms that sounds perfect for like a wild west, California beach themes party. (Earmilk)

In a world where digital rules and analog drools, itʼs great to find a band that hasnʼt left the good olʼ fashioned guitar and drums to another decade. The spirit of the golden age of rock is here to stay with The Spyrals. We canʼt wait to hear more from this band in the years to come. (Radio K)

The trio creates the sound of a band with five members; they have rich bass lines
and intense drumming with crashing cymbals all paired with the electric guitar and wailing vocals.

Hailing from San Francisco, Calif., The Spyrals took to the stage last night at Benderʼs Bar in the cityʼs Mission District and delivered a high energy rock and roll performance that left those in attendance pumped up and ready for more. Heavy guitar riffs and prominent bass lines along with pleasant gritty reverb heavy vocals give this bandʼs overall sound a vibe that is very reminiscent of ʼ70s rock and roll. (Hypable)

We begin our Bay Area Noise Pop adventure at Benders, where Spyrals kicked off the festivities with a pub shaking racket. With looks like sweet alt darlings and a mean sound that attacks with deep spiraling waves; the SF trio set one helluva tone for sounds to come.

Dave & The Pussies (A)
